Sergio Smiriglio is the Founder and Managing Partner of Andiron Equity Partners. He brings a unique blend of institutional investment expertise and hands-on real estate operating experience to the firm’s multifamily strategy. Sergio spent more than fifteen years in senior investment roles, most recently at Armistice Capital, where he served as Chief Risk Officer overseeing global trading, execution strategy, and portfolio risk. Before Armistice, he was Director of Trading at Tourbillon Capital Partners, where he led execution across markets and played a central role in building the firm’s portfolio-management infrastructure. Prior to that, he served as Co-Head of Risk and Trading at Dialectic Capital Management. Sergio began his career at Goldman Sachs, holding multiple roles across their global prime brokerage unit.

Alongside his institutional finance career, Sergio has built a growing portfolio of multifamily properties across Northern New Jersey. He leads underwriting, deal sourcing, financial modeling, renovation oversight, leasing strategy, and property-level operations. His combined background in disciplined risk management and practical real estate execution informs Andiron’s core focus on resilient cash flow, rigorous modeling, and operational excellence.

Sergio holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biotechnology from Stevens Institute of Technology.
